Urgent Eye Care
Eye problems don’t always wait for a routine appointment. If something feels wrong with your eyes or vision, our team is trained to provide prompt evaluation and treatment for many urgent eye conditions—often the same day you call.
Sudden Eye Pain or Redness
If your eye becomes painful, red, or sensitive to light, it may be more than simple irritation. Eye infections can develop quickly and spread easily. Symptoms may include discharge, swelling, redness, crusting, or blurred vision. We commonly evaluate and treat:
Bacterial and viral infections (conjunctivitis)
Inflammation inside or around the eye
Painful corneal conditions, including scratches or abrasions
Contact lens-related infections and irritation
Early and accurate treatment can prevent symptoms from worsening and help protect your vision.
Foreign Bodies and Eye Injuries
If something gets in your eye—such as dust, metal, sand, or debris—we can:
Safely remove foreign objects from the eye
Treat irritation or scratches caused by the injury
Relieve chemical injuries or burns
Help reduce pain and lower the risk of infection
For more serious injuries, we can determine whether a referral to a eye surgeon is needed.
Eye Allergies
Seasonal allergies or sudden exposure to allergens can cause intense eye discomfort. We treat symptoms such as:
Itchy, watery, swollen eyes
Redness and burning
Light sensitivity related to allergies
Targeted treatments can bring relief and help prevent ongoing irritation.
Sudden Changes in Vision
Any unexpected changes in vision should be checked right away. This includes:
Blurry or distorted vision
Sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes
New flashes of light or floaters to rule out sight-threatening causes such as a retinal tear or detachment
Difficulty seeing clearly after an injury
We can assess the cause and guide you to the appropriate next step, whether that’s in-office treatment or specialty care.
disease-Related Symptoms
Sudden eye pain, headache, nausea, halos around lights, or blurred vision can be warning signs of increased eye pressure. These symptoms require immediate attention, and we can begin urgent care and coordinate further treatment as needed.
